While Jennifer grew up in Greensboro, NC, she has since resided in the Winston-Salem and Charlotte areas. Most recently, she has moved to the coast with her husband and adult daughter in a neighborhood on the bay, only ten minutes from the beach. When she isn’t writing, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cycling, horseback riding, long walks – especially on the beach. Most recently, she spends time kayaking with her husband on the bay where they fish, harvest oysters and clams.
Jennifer’s daughter, Celina has high-functioning Autism and Epilepsy. Therefore, Jennifer is often advocating for these two neurological conditions, as well as researching resources and support for her daughter. Jennifer’s second novel, Highland Sanctuary, is about a young woman in 15th century Scotland who has epilepsy in a time when most people were more suspicious than understanding. She has dedicated this novel to her daughter, Celina. Highland Sanctuary has become the book of her heart.
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:37-39
